Just bought some seed and the packet says it's biennial? Not that it makes any difference I just didn't think it was! Can anyone confirm for me please.
It is a bit of a generalisation but for a plant to flower in spring it really needs to be sown now to get to a decent size. So foxgloves, sweet williams, honesty, wallflowers, forget me nots all classed as biennial. Although some can also be called a perennial as they will continue to flower the following year.
One thing I do know is that once you've got them you'll never be without them! I had some seeds 40 years ago and I've got hundreds of them coming up year after year. They will just drop seeds and keep growing new plants.

The first year the plant will develop leaves and roots, then flower and set seed the following year.
