Does anyone know if Lavatera blooms on new growth like Buddleija or is it on last years growth?

I think they are like buddlias Dave. Haven't grown one lately though and don't have a good memory

They bloom on new growth. I cut mine down each spring.

Any Garden Centre has them, including usually places like B&Q
