hi all i have just found my lupin seeds from last year am i to late to sow them now

many thanks

Lyn

Perfect time to sow, they will make good plants over the summer and winter then plant out next spring for a lovely show. You do have to protect them from slugs though. If you want something that will flower this year, try the dwarf pixie lupins, they flower this year.

Lyn thanks for your replay. can i put the seeds in the ground now where i what them

or in pots.

Lyn

No, you start them off in little pots, you can put the pots outside through the summer, but I always bring mine in for protection over winter.  They are not very hardy when they are young plants, the following year, once planted out, just cover with a mulch or any old compost you may have salvaged through the year.
