Can anyone enlighten me as to the 'hot water' treatment for fuchsias before putting them to bed for the winter?  Have heard a litle about this treatment, but not sure of it's efficacy or how to go about it.  Would it kill viruses if any were lurking but not apparent? And how could I do my standards?  Could I use a steamer, gently, to kill anything lurking under the bark?
