Dear Forum Members,
I have found a small quantity of this ornamental grass in my garden. Does anyone know it's name?
I hope the photo doesn't display as too small.
Many thanks,

That's so small I can't see it GD

Obviously, uploading the photo is useful.
That's better
I think that's Phalaris arundinacea var. Picta, known as gardeners gaiters. Is it spreading well? That would confirm

I am not sure, I think there's not much and its a bit sparse. Too dark to go check now, even though I was weeding tonight until I nearly lost my tools. I will probably find out in the morning that the weeds are still there, and I've pulled up a prize peony or something.!
...and thank you!
weeding in the dark sounds interesting. You'd recognise the stinging nettles

There was a patch of stinging nettles involved, yes. Tall ones with flowers on the top.
Sounds like some of mine
