Half and half. chicky!  Next year will be more planned as it is my Golden Jubilee year, starting in the spring with lots of golden daffodils.  I gasp with delight when i find a serendipitycolour splash.  There is a new one this year as the grape hyacinths have invaded a clump of yellow alyssum which is just about tp open its many buds while the grape hyacinths are at their zenith.  Will probably get that picture at end of week.

Dicentra spectabilis is just coming out. I love it's other name of "Lady in the Bath" when you pick a flower, hold it upside down and gently squeeze it sideways.

No it hasn't been and now there is an annoying advert coming on sound too.

Thanks ladies! I bought it just to sit on a table in courtyard in old house when we were  selling, but I really liked it so brought it with me. I had a white cyclamen in it there -think I posted a pic on the gallery thread as daughter was helping with putting pix on here and we were testing. Not sure where I got the pan though- possibly local GC or even B&Q? I had another sempervivum (Rubrum) in it then which I've divided up and put in another pan with a white pasque flower. I used a lot of them in the wall at last house, which was full of weeds, and there were loads of planting holes in it to fill.

This is an echevaria, gardeningfantic.  Not sure of the species but looks like peacockii.

Busy Lizzie I love your violas- they made me smile. I've got a sky blue one with a cream/yellow/orange middle and it's one of my favourite plants of all time. I think I'll be more picky, as you clearly have, next year and do a really nice container full.
