whats this white stuff on my apple mint leaves. The flowers are ok, the herb is doing fine and growing new fresh leaves which don't have the white stuff. But the larger leaves do

Mildew. Mint is very susceptible. Cut the old stems down.

Ok thanks I will do it today

Ok so I have cut lots of it off, my questions are

1. is the mildew mint ok for human consumption?

2. how can I dry it out and store it if it is?

thanks

Mildewed plants tend to smell musty.  I'd trust your nose on that one, but I don't think I'd eat the mildewed bits myself.

Mint needs to have a regular water supply during the summer or mildew will be a perennial issue.

As already said, cut leaves right back now. Clean around the base of the plant and water well.

If you pull out/off a few roots and pot them up now you can keep over winter for fresh mint supplies.
