Not sure what it is

I have something growing in my lown, althogh it looks like mashroom bush, i am not sure what it is, I want to get rid of it. It has just started growing recently. and it is spreding. Can you please advise as soon as. As i have young kids and they might go on the grass,,,,,

ok, but i want to get rid off it.. what do i do?

Can't you just brush it off?-there are always a lot of fungi about this time of year-most just disappear on their own accord

ok, I did cut it off with lown mower, but has come back and expanding faster. so i am worried. It was never there before. 

That is the nature of fungi-it will not be a permanent feature but may reappear in 12 months time

thanks for that, i was going through few posts, i think it is slime mold. Do you know how to get rid of it?

Fungi feed on decaying matter-find that and you are half way there-but again without a picture it is hard to say
