I can't believe I've just spent the last half hour wearing headtorch and spearing 35 slugs with a wooden skewer. These beasts are really getting to me this year. I think they are living in the soil in the cracks between the flags on the patio and are merrily feasting on my growing rocket. I am wondering wether a salt solution poured over the patio would do the deed and if there is any reason not to try it?( unless you are a slug lover of course)

Hi Gill a short time ago a lady ( i tried to find her name but can,t) placed this advise
on our site and we are using it and a big yes,, place the slug pellets into the top af a jam jar, place this under a 10/12 inch tunnel of rain guttering (plastic is quite cheap)a brick on top or fasten it down so hedgehogs cant get to them leave one or both ends open and there you go it worked for us after 2 nights and gets better every day, good luck Alan4711
