Hello sotongeoff,

Sorry that you're still having trouble with the edit post feature. Could you confirm what browser (and version number) you're currently using, what operating system and whether you're using a mac or a PC?

I've referred the problem about the indexing of the posts on your settings page.

LIkewise, I will certainly ask if it is possible to incorporate the description box in the thread (which I think would certainly be a better solution than removing it entirely).

All technical development requests and queries that we submit go into a queue, and are assigned a priority. So, issues like broken links, or a page failing to load correctly, will be dealt with before 'nice to have' improvements, which will be further back in the queue. This is isn't because of a lack of concern on our part, it's simply about making the best use of the finite resources that we have. Our very diligent team of developers look after other sites than gardenersworld.com, so they have quite a list of jobs to work through!

It is very helpful to have feedback, and while we can't implement all suggestions, we do give very serious consideration to the comments that are posted.

Hope this helps. If you can supply the details about your system, I'll follow that up for you.

Best,

Daniel

My 'edit' doesn't and hasn't worked for some time.

I'm using IE & Windows 7 Home Premium.

Same here - no edit for ages.  I've tried IE, Firefox and Chrome.  Windows XP Prof.

It is annoying as sometimes you can forget to say something and have to put up another post. A common thing at my age....

Daniel whilst accepting that these technical things are beyond you control and the fix is in a queue could you possibly give an idea when they might be fixed?

Thanks

Daniel Haynes

Hello sotongeoff. This fix has been implemented on our development server, and will be published to the live site shortly. Sorry again for the inconvenience caused.

How on earth does the weather forecast work? I have put in the post code and it is immediately cancelled. I the get a list of words about the weather, one BELOW THE NEXT, that goes on for miles; am I really expected to read the forecast vertically?

Daniel Haynes

Hello artjak. I'm very sorry that you're having problems with the new weather feature. Could you let me know whether you're on a mac or PC, which operating system and web browser you're using, and I'll ask the technical team to investigate for you. Thanks for reporting the problem.

Just wondered if there are plans to reintrocuce the previous winners section? I would like to see if people do actually win the competitions.
