Like the idea of early beetroot in a container but it is not clear when you can do this. Is February too early ib an unheated green house or when?

IS IT POSSIBLE TO GROW BEETROOT IN GROW BAGS OUTSIDE THIS TIME OF YEAR, AS I AM NOT UP TO DATE ON GARDENING.

It would be useful to know minimum germination temperatures for beetroot. The polystyrene will keep soil & seeds warm, but I guess you'd need more than one 70 ltr bag, for such a large container, which begins to make the beetroot quite expensive. Could I get the same results with "spent" potting compost, saved over from last year's crop of potatoes in buckets?

Just a quicky, how often would I water the beetroot seeds, and also do I water forced rhubarb? thanks

It is too early to sow beetroot-and with all the rain-no rhubarb should not need watering
