Chocolate Cosmos is best treated as a dahlia. In my case grown in a large pot & then stored almost dry with pot wrapped & covered with fleece in a part-glazed porch. Never managed to keep one in the ground up here. Just thought could use my new wooden sided coldframe this winter- hmm, still think shall play safe & use the porch, have enough space under plant tables.

This year not sure that my 3 named dahlia varieties will even make it through the rest of the summer/ early autumn wiith all their slug damage. They have all got new growth low down on their stems & am hoping, with me being vigilant, that may yet get some more flowers from them this year.

We have a Cadbury outlet shop at the Lowry outlet mall...... am very good at walking past, most times. Noticed that Milka was 50p a bar again in petrol station this morning. Didnt get any, but could be tempted..... J.
