I have had a busy morning tidying the garden, I am very excited as 4 of the hard wood cuttings that I took last winter have rooted, so I have 2 new roses and 2 extra cornus

Maud hope you are feeling better.

Geoff I also thought that apples were in short supply, what will you trade them for? XF theme was heroes. Saints are 1-0 at the mo.

I keep telling you the ovations are because the audience need to stretch their legs

Afternoon all, not much to report . Nothing done in garden again as I still feel a bit dodgy .

Kate- good news on the cutting front.

Geoff - don't forget and save some for duck apple

Went out for a drive with hubby to escape the house for a bit and saw a goshawk !!! It was swooping really low up the lane so we were able to get a good look at it. Made my day .

Back on couch now - don't even fancy cake

Afternoon lovelies! Having a great day pottering about the garden, doing odd jobs and tidying up/away. Unzipped my plastic greenhouse earlier, and popped my head in! That thing keeps in heat!!!! It was hotter in there than inside the house! Think I'll move in there later on in the year!

Hope the sun is shining on you all. xx

I did the collecting of apples-surely that is enough?-there are still plenty on the tree but freezer space is tight-there are also frozen blackberry/apple crumbles-I think we will be ok for when war breaks out

Kate that is good about cuttings-it is nice when that happens

There were not many songs hero related

Get better soon all the invalids

Oh Jean, poor old you. Have any easy day, hope you soon feel better.

Fancy seeing a goshawk, they are quite rare I understand. We have a few birds of prey in our area, kestrels, peregrine and now we have buzzards, but not goshawks, that I know of.I'm very envious,I love raptors. Red Kites have been spotted near Sleaford, which is about 25 miles from us, so they are slowly moving into the area.

Jean take it easy and put your feet up and then ask for tasty morsels.

Geoff I think the band could be your heroes Gold and Simply the Best was for the olympic heroes

07/10/2012 at 14:47

Becks I would put Jess in there- she may grow quicker

Jurassic Park has raptors

07/10/2012 at 14:48

Kate-Imagine?the links are very tenuous

07/10/2012 at 14:53

John Lennon could be a hero

07/10/2012 at 14:54

Just for one day?

07/10/2012 at 14:55

Good lord Geoff, no chance! Her rate of growth is already costing me a fortune!

07/10/2012 at 15:03

Fulham have scored

07/10/2012 at 15:05

Saints have scored again- only for the wrong team

Becks-Jess is obviously then over nourished -try a diet of gruel-I have seen Oliver

07/10/2012 at 15:19

Opps Geoff start polishing that cv.

07/10/2012 at 15:25

Has there been another?

07/10/2012 at 15:39

Chris - I've now discovered it wasn't a goshawk. It wasn't a kestrel or peregrine either, it was too big. On the bird of prey identifier now . Thought it was to good to be true, they are quite rare.

Packet of cheese and onion has just been consumed .

07/10/2012 at 16:11

It is going to be a hard slog for the local team this year

Well done Jean

07/10/2012 at 16:19

Geoff it finished as a draw, so the cv can go on hold for a week

Now I fancy crisps

07/10/2012 at 16:25

Can do you quavers or walkers squares

07/10/2012 at 16:30

Geoff who is going to go tonight? And do not forget Homeland Do they still make quavers?
