Clearing outgreenhouse. This time last year didn't have one. Had no idea what hard workit is. Dog keeps nipping in and taken flower pots, that involves chase round garden. Great fun!!!!

Cake/pudding is out of oven and cooling, anyone fancy a slice, it's Apricot and Almond, with Creme Fraiche.

 I have just had a wander round the garden and picked a few chrysanthemums. I love this colour. They are from a pot I bought as a house plant.

Chris- am I correct in thinking cuttings from a house plant will produce 'water shoots' in a vase? J.

geoff- I can never keep on here. I'm going to wait a while but I know I'll get another cat at some point.

Jo. I've never tried with chrysanths. I just kept the original and did them in the spring, in the normal way, and kept the plant itself and that grew ok. The only thing is that the flowers are a lot smaller because I don't disbud them. I like the smaller flowers better anyway.

When we went to France earlier in the year, Radio 4 was the only programme we could get, I felt quite educated by the time we got back.

Cleared greenhouse, made room for new staging - £12 from end of last day at Malvern Show complete with seed trays. Pot washing tomorrow is it a squeeze of washing up liquid and a splash of Jeyes Fluid?

Emptied grow bags onto rhubarb bed.

Had bath to ease aches and pains, 

Just made some scones for a sort of cobbler type pud. Cooked apple/raspberries with cooked scones on top.

Just back from the football, we won 4-1 so the dog's safe for the night (it's ok, we haven't actually got a dog  ). And we're still top of League 2. 

Other half is watching Star Wars so I've exiled myself until the 'singing' starts.
