wooden potting tray

Hi can you tell me how toget the potting tray Monty uses in his programme

I am sure that Monty is a very practical man and would have made his himself. If you google them lots of companies sell them.

Personaly I use a plastic one easy to clean and sterilize and light enough to be moved  out of the way in early summer when space is needed for plants try ebay.

I use the sturdier plastic trays and as you say mollycatshirley easy to clean and sterilise and store.

Iris, it is not a good idea to leave potting compost in the tray for too long and monty probably makes his mix then uses it all in one go.
I have a heavy duty custom made plastic one which as Maud says is easily cleaned and sterilised. Mix just the amount you need and any left over put back in the bag.

thankyou for all your comments and advice sturdy being what size Maud they all seem so tiny to me and where did you get it from also for anyone how have your busy lizzies done this year my were terrible they look as if they have been boiled what a dissappointment  

After the warnings I did not grow normal busy lizzies, I did try the new guineas and they have been fine.

I got busy lizzies from Jersey plants direct this year, they were a real ball of colour in hanging baskets, very pleased.

I bought the seed trays in Wyevales, they are a thicker plastic and then i use the inserts when seedlings get big enough. I did grow Busy lizzies this year and luckily they were ok, my petunias thought they were sun flowers and just kept growing taller and taller even though i pinched the tops out.I love lobelia so always grow masses of it.

I think Burgon and Ball have wooden seed trays. I remember seeing them at Chelsea but couldnt remember the name until i looked it up.
