I currently use a chemical based PH test kit which certainly helps with the veggies !! Was contemplating buying a PH probe to make life easier but most reviews seem critical ( inaccurate readings etc. ) Any views out there ??

Hi, glebelands welcome to the forum.

Sorry can't answer your Q but by responding it will bump you up to the top. I'd be interested in replies though as I was thinking of testing the PH levels in the soil on my plot.

Hi.  Rapitest used to do a good meter.  Please don't get too involved with pH testing.  Thankfully most plants will do well on this island of ours.

I agree with Mike, don't get too anxious about this. A quick glance at your neighbours gardens will tell you a lot about ph. Do they have acid loving plants thriving or not?
