In this short video clip from Gardeners' World, Monty Don shows you how to remove annuals such as sunflowers and Cosmos bipinnatus 'Purity' from a border in autumn, once they start to look tired and ragged. This allows you to replace them with plants such as wallflowers that will bring colour and scent to the border in spring.
