In this practical video, Monty Don brightens up a dry shady spot under a tree with a selection of pretty white-flowering perennials. He gives detailed planting advice, including type of soil, spacing and aftercare, so you can copy his planting scheme of shade-loving ivy-leaved cyclamen (Cyclamen hederifolium f. albiflorum), a delicate hardy geranium (Geranium x cantabrigiense 'St Ola') and native sweet woodruff (Galium odoratum).
