Aeoniums are fleshy, architectural plants native to Madeira, the Canary Islands and North Africa. They make excellent summer bedding plants, and look particularly good in terracotta pots.

As the name suggests, Aeonium x domesticum 'Variegatum' has succulent leaves that have a streaky, variegated patterning of green and cream. Aeonium x domesticum 'Variegatum' won't survive a frost, so can be grown outdoors in summer, then overwintered in a bright, frost-free spot. It can also be grown as a houseplant.

For best results grow Aeonium x domesticum 'Variegatum' in well-drained soil or containers in a sunny, sheltered position. Water plants sparingly.
