Agapanthus ‘Enigma’ bears clumps of large, strap-shaped leaves, from which large umbels of blue-throated, white trumpet-shaped flowers appear from summer into autumn. It’s ideal for growing in a mixed herbaceous border and looks great when paired with colourful crocosmia or knipfofia. Like all agapanthus, it seems to thrive when its roots are slightly congested, so it’s a great choice for container gardening.

Grow Agapanthus ‘Enigma’ in moist but well-drained soil in full sun. Deadhead spent blooms to prolong flowering and divide congested clumps in spring. Not fully hardy, it may need protection in winter.
