Agapanthus are South African plants with strap-like leaves and showy flowers in shades of blue, violet or white. They are ideal for growing in containers, from which their pretty blooms stand tall, spilling over other pots, creating a pleasing display.

Agapanthus 'Little Dutch White' has almost white flowers, with just a hint of blue. For best results grow in a sheltered, sunny spot, in moist but well-drained soil. In exposed areas plants benefit from winter protection. Alternatively, they can be grown in pots and moved indoors in autumn.
