Clematis koreana 'Amber' is an unusual clematis - its flowers are almost yellow, with light pink tones on the back of the sepals. It produces its double, nodding blooms in May and June, with second flush in September, followed by attractive seedheads. It was the winner of the RHS Plant of the Year award at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2016.

Clematis koreana ’Amber’ is in Pruning Group 1, so does not need pruning. It doesn’t get too large, so is useful for training up an obelisk or for growing in a pot. Give it a balanced fertiliser and a mulch of well-rotted garden compost around the base in early spring.
