Bearded irises have 'beards' on each of the falls (lower petals) of the flowers. Iris 'Pink Pele' is an intermediate bearded iris with bright pink standard and fall petals. The falls have a purple blotch and a coral-pink beard.

Grow it in a mixed herbaceous border or gravel garden, ideally dotted through herbaceous plants in groups of three or five. Due to its shorter grown habit, 'Pink Pele' is suitable for goring on slopes and more exposed gardens.

For best results grow Iris 'Pink Pele' in well-drained soil in full sun, and mulch with well-rotted manure or garden compost annually.
