Lathyrus rotundifolius is the Persian everlasting pea, bearing small, brick-red unscented flowers, in contrast with rounded, mid-green leaves. A perennial pea, it’s ideal for growing through shrubs such as roses, and small trees.

For best results, feed Lathyrus rotundifolius fortnightly with a high-potash fertiliser, and deadhead spent blooms regularly to prolong flowering.
