Miscanthus sinensis 'Malepartus' is an attractive ornamental grass with fine, arching leaves with a distinctive central white stripe, which take on beautiful orange and red hues in autumn. In summer it bears spectacular red-brown, silky feathery blooms, which appear to glow in the evening light. Quick to establish, it's perfect for a mixed ornamental border or gravel garden.

Grow Miscanthus sinensis 'Malepartus' in moist but well-drained soil in full sun. Cut back to the ground in late-winter to early spring.
