Prized for their large flamboyant flowers, oriental poppies are a stalwart of the sunny herbaceous border, blooming from late May until July. Originally native to Turkey and Iran, there are now hundreds of different cultivars to choose from, with flowers in a wide range of different colours and forms.
Papaver orientale ‘Perry's White’ has large, pure white flowers with large black blotches in the centre, held on straight stems above a thick clump of long, mid-green leaves.
For best results, grow Papaver orientale ‘Perry's White’ in well-drained soil in full sun.
