Sand phlox, Phlox bifida, is a mound-forming, evergreen phlox, with needle-like, linear leaves and masses of flowers in spring. It's more tolerant of dry soils than other species of phlox.
Phlox ‘Ralph Haywood’ bears large blue flowers in late spring. Easy to grow, it's best suited to a sunny or partially shaded site. Place it in a rock garden, herbaceous border or cottage garden.
