Rosa 'Princess Anne' is an unusual variety of rose, having come from a different line of breeding to most modern cultivars. While retaining the classic full-petalled flowers and tea-rose scent of traditional English roses, it has an upright, bushy habit and shows exceptional resistance to rose diseases.

Flowers of Rosa 'Princess Anne' are born in clusters and appear successionally over a long season. They open a red-pink, fading to deep pink as they mature, and have a hint of yellow on the undersides. It's an ideal rose for goring at the back of a border, and is also a good choice for growing as a hedge.

For best results, prepare the soil well and mulch yearly with well-rotted manure or garden compost. deadhead spent blooms to prolong flowering.
