Uvularia grandiflora var. pallida is an unusual woodland plant with lots of character. Clumps of lance-shaped, mid-green leaves are complemented in spring by clusters of long, narrow, yellow buds, which open out into narrow, lily-like flowers.

For best results grow Uvularia grandiflora var. pallida under trees or among shrubs in a woodland garden. It associates well with other shade-loving plants such as epimedium and erythronium. In shaded, humus-rich borders combine it with hardy ferns and Solomon's seal.
