Dusty zenobia is a beautiful semi-evergreen shrub bearing large, aniseed-scented, bell-shaped flowers, which resemble lily of the valley. The leaves emerge green and mature to a dusty whitish blue. Native to the open woodlands of the North American east coast, it thrives in acid soils in full sun to partial shade.

Zenobia pulverulenta 'Raspberry Ripple' is a particularly attractive cultivar, bearing white flowers edged and striped with red.
