What are the Niwaki Maininchi Secateurs like to use?
These great little secateurs are ideal for everyday use. They're very light and well balanced, but feel robust and have strong, SK5 carbon steel blades that can handle all pruning jobs. The bright yellow, resin handles will stand out well if they get accidentally mixed up in the compost but they do get slippery when wet and are best worn with gloves. A central safety catch is easy to reach and the open spring allows debris to fall through it, rather than get clogged up. No replacement parts are available.
Are the Niwaki Maininchi Secateurs good value for money?
These are nudging towards the higher price bracket, have no replacement parts and just a two-year warranty, but for the quality of design and performance we think they're good value for money.
Who are the Niwaki Maininchi Secateurs most useful for?
These are very light and testers with larger hands found them insubstantial, but smaller testers loved them. Ideal for all pruning jobs they're best suited to gardeners that lack strength and those with smaller hands.
