What are the Kent and Stowe Professional Bypass Secateurs like to use?
These have sharp, SK5 carbon steel blades that cut well, although we did feel vibrations on larger cuts. They have a cutting diameter of 20mm, a wire cutting notch and a sap groove to stop the blades getting jammed when pruning green growth. The centrally positioned safety catch is stiff to engage at first and needs two hands. It has dual positions that can be set to suit either small or large hands, although testers with smaller hands found them quite chunky and heavy. The grey handles won't stand out in piles of prunings and could easily get lost.
