What are the Spear and Jackson Razorsharp Advantage Telescopic Ratchet Anvil loppers like to use?
These ratchet loppers have a non-stick, rust resistant carbon steel blade and anvil. A five stage mechanism allows them to cut thick, tough wood in a series of stages – you simply squeeze the aluminium handles and release, squeeze and release until you’ve cut through the branch. They cut smoothly and easily with minimal effort required and cleared most branches in our test in three passes. Rubber grips on the handles stop your hands from slipping and you twist and slide these to extend the handles telescopically from 72 to 104cm. There are no markings and you adjust the length of the handles by eye only, so to prevent straining one arm it’s important to ensure you match the position on both handles. These loppers are light and comfortable but still feel robust
Are the Spear and Jackson Razorsharp Advantage Telescopic Ratchet Anvil loppers good value for money?
Offering both telescopic handles and a ratchet system these loppers are well priced and with a ten year warranty, we think they are excellent value for money.
Who are the Spear and Jackson Razorsharp Advantage Telescopic Ratchet Anvil loppers most useful for?
With their telescopic handles and effort reducing ratchet mechanism these loppers make light work of tackling hard to cut branches. They are ideal for anyone who has a big pruning job ahead, who needs help reaching higher branches or lacks strength and struggles to cut thicker wood.
