What is the Bulldog Pedigree Border Fork like?
This is a modern spin on a traditional ash border fork. It has the simple purple block colour that marks out Bulldog’s Pedigree range, and protective metal guards on the sides of the YD handle. It has a double riveted socket and riveted handle with stainless steel tines.
What’s it like to use the Bulldog Pedigree Border Fork?
We noticed that the finish on this fork is a little poor. Some parts, and especially the handle, aren’t properly sanded and splinter a little. It also feels poorly balanced towards the socket, so it’s a little clumsy to hold.
Is the Bulldog Pedigree Border Fork strong?
This border fork is fairly strong, with a double riveted socket and single riveted head. The handle is also riveted, and has metal guards on the side to protect against wear and tear. The tines are strong, but not immovable.
How does the Bulldog Pedigree Border Fork perform?
Despite its less than perfect finish, this fork performs really well. Its stainless steel tines slide effortlessly into the soil, but aren’t slippery, holding large forkfuls of soil for easy turning over and transplanting. There was a little cosmetic damage to the plant when transplanting, but nothing serious and just a little clodding at the top of the tines.
Is the Bulldog Pedigree Border Fork good value?
This fork performs well and has an impressive lifetime guarantee but it is finished poorly which we didnt expect for the high price. It’s reasonable value for money and if you’re not fussed about the aesthetics and comfort of your border fork, this could be the tool for you.
