This wildlife haven was created over 30 years ago in an old quarry, once full of rubbish and cars. Now the six acres of tranquil pools, streams, trees and flowering shrubs are alive with birds, amphibians and other animals. Spring is a delight, with mass flowerings of azaleas and rhododendrons in May.
