One of Ireland’s oldest walled gardens, dating from the 18th century, it continues to evolve today, with imaginative herbaceous borders, beautiful water features, vegetable, fruit and herb gardens, a restored glasshouse, and displays that burst with colour from spring to autumn. The grass mount, created 12 years ago, gives panoramic views of the garden, castle, surrounding estate and the sea.
With the gradual easing of lockdown restrictions, gardens in the 2-for-1 directory are beginning to open.
To ensure the safety of visitors and staff, many have special measures in place, including pre-booking and limiting the number of visitors.
Before visiting a garden, please contact the garden directly to determine their opening status and any restrictions that may apply.
Please note: we’re unable to keep all individual 2-for-1 garden pages updated, but we will publish the latest details that we have on our weekly updates page from week commencing Monday 8 June, 2020.
