The six intricate, geometric parterres in this 17th-century garden contain more than five miles of clipped box hedging, as well as colourful summer bedding displays, topiary, fountains and vibrant borders. There is also a formal walled garden, herb garden, Victorian conservatory, ponds and scenic woodland walks. The Museum of Farming Life is adjacent to the garden. Before setting off check the garden’s website or call direct, as opening details can vary and one-off restrictions may apply. We advise checking the garden’s own website or calling them direct to ensure the published details are accurate, as opening times and restrictions may vary. Some gardens have pre-booking systems in place – take your 2 for 1 card with you to validate your booking. If a garden offers both pre-booking and walk-up options, we recommend booking prior to your visit to avoid disappointment should the garden be busy. Please don’t make multiple pre-bookings or share your 2 for 1 card – card misuse will invalidate your discount claim at the garden.Check before you travel
