A great source of inspiration to Charles Darwin, this garden has been restored to look much as it did in his day. You can visit the greenhouse where he studied plant growth, explore his experimental beds in the kitchen garden, and walk in Darwin’s footsteps along his ‘thinking path’.
Important update
With the gradual easing of lockdown restrictions, gardens in the 2-for-1 directory are beginning to open.
To ensure the safety of visitors and staff, many have special measures in place, including pre-booking and limiting the number of visitors.
Before visiting a garden, please contact the garden directly to determine their opening status and any restrictions that may apply.
Please note: we’re unable to keep all individual 2-for-1 garden pages updated, but we will publish the latest details that we have on our weekly updates page from week commencing Monday 8 June, 2020.
