The Leeds Castle website describes it as ‘the loveliest castle in the world’. We’ll leave that for you to decide! What we can say though is that, at £32 per adult, it represents one of the biggest savings in our guide.
Highlights include the Princess Alexandra Gardens, beautifully framed by the magical castle backdrop. Whilst a romantic profusion of roses, lupins, poppies and delphiniums, enclosed by low box hedges, fill the cottage garden with colour and fragrance. Meanwhile, the south-facing Mediterranean terrace is packed with sun-lovers, including palms and cacti, and offers views over the lake. There is also a yew maze, with an underworld grotto, knights’ stronghold adventure playground and kid’s obstacle course. Beyond, the park, woodland and lakes are rich in wildlife.
Check before you travel
Before setting off check the garden’s website or call direct, as opening details can vary and one-off restrictions may apply.
We advise checking the garden’s own website or calling them direct to ensure the published details are accurate, as opening times and restrictions may vary.
Always take your 2 for 1 card with you
Some gardens have pre-booking systems in place – take your 2 for 1 card with you to validate your booking.
If a garden offers both pre-booking and walk-up options, we recommend booking prior to your visit to avoid disappointment should the garden be busy.
Please don’t make multiple pre-bookings or share your 2 for 1 card – card misuse will invalidate your discount claim at the garden.
