Add fragrance and beauty to your garden with this collection of English lavenders. The fragrant flowers are highly attractive to bees, and excellent for cutting and drying. Perfect for scented patio containers or growing as a low hedge or path edging, where the perfume can be appreciated as you brush past the aromatic evergreen foliage. Pretty and compact, Acer palmatum ‘Taylor’ is perfect for smaller gardens, pots and patios, and will provide impact and colour throughout the year. In spring, the dainty, dissected leaves emerge salmon-pink, covering the bush in a soft peach glow, before maturing to a variegated lime-green and cream as summer progresses. Then, in autumn, they turn a uniform lime green before falling in winter.
Known as the ‘flamingo willow’, Salix integra ‘Hakuro-nishiki’ erupts into a fountain of colour every spring, with green, cream and powder-pink leaves. The tree has been grafted to grow in a standard lollipop form, with a clear stem and a ball of colour on top. Totally hardy, the flamingo willow is low maintenance and will make a colourful statement plant or, can be planted in pairs in large pots.
