Last week we joined lots of keen gardeners at BBC Gardeners' World Live Special Edition at the NEC in Birmingham. It was a fantastic event, filled with inspiring Show Gardens, informative talks from familiar faces and advice from expert growers.
It was also filled with plenty of tempting shopping opportunities and we absolutely loved seeing what visitors to the show had purchased. Here's a selection of photos of visitors proudly showing off their purchases, from trolleys brimming with plants to large metal leaves ready to make a statement in their new homes.
Some visitors purchased so many plants we could hardly see them, while others had been more restrained, or just hadn't finished their shopping yet!
Des was particularly proud of his purchases.
Claire and Angela had purchased so many plants, they had to share the load!
Jody and Glenda were queueing for the Plant Creche when we met, you can't carry the very tall Rudbeckia laciniata 'Herbstsonne' around a show all day! Rudbeckias, also known as Coneflowers, proved very popular at the show, lots of visitors were spotted with them.
Meanwhile, Georgie was keeping her new chilli plant safe in her rucksack.
Grasses were a popular choice at the show, with Celia, Ish, Lynda and Lynn all leaving with their hands full.
It's important to rest your feet at the show, plus it also gives you the perfect opportunity to admire your purchases.
Sculptures and ornaments also proved popular purchases at the show, with giant metal leaves a popular choice!
It's also useful when you buy containers at the show, so that you can carry your plants around with ease.
If this has inspired you to add an ornament to your garden, check out our list of 10 unusual garden ornaments.
Thanks to everyone we met for posing with their purchases at the show, we look forward to meeting more gardeners at the shows in 2022.
