Anemone obtusiloba is a rare alpine plant native to the mountainous regions of Pakistan, Burma, Nepal and Tibet. Plants have a tufted, clump-forming habit with dark green, toothed and slightly hairy leaves. In spring, pretty yellow, white, pink or blue flower appear – after the first flush, they then continue to appear sporadically until the first frosts.

The flowers of Anemone obtusiloba 'Pradesh' open white but gradually darken to a rich violet blue. For best results grow in moist soil in part shade, such as a woodland border. Anemone obtusiloba 'Pradesh' is sterile, so can be propagated by division only.
