Native to New Zealand, Arthropodium candidum ‘Maculatum’ forms a low carpet of bronze, grass-like leaves, from which sprays of small, starry flowers on short wiry stems appear in spring and summer. It’s perfect for growing in a rock garden or at the edge of a path, and makes a great specimen for a container display.
Grow Arthropodium candidum ‘Maculatum’ in moist but well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Sow seeds in winter so the cold can break their dormancy – they may take very many months to appear.
