The lady fern, Athryium 'Ocean's Fury' is one of the prettiest Japanese painted ferns, bearing delicate, lacy, ladder-like, silvery green foliage with a distinctive 'petticoat' at the end of each frond. It looks best in late spring and early summer when the foliage is still young. It associates well in cool shady corners with other hardy ferns. It also looks good with other woodland plants and shade-loving perennials such as solomon's seal.

Grow Athryium 'Ocean's Fury' in fertile, moist but well-drained sun in sun to partial shade.
