Chamaelobivia is a lovely, small-growing cactus, forming miniature spiked cones from which huge pink or red flowers emerge in summer. A hybrid between Chamaecereus and Lobivia, both native to Central America, it's small and easy to grow.
Chamaelobivia ’Lincoln Happy Thoughts’ bears bright, cerise-pink flowers with a yellow throat. It’s perfect for growing on a sunny window sill, and may be taken outside on a sheltered, sunny patio in summer.
Grow Chamaelobivia ’Lincoln Happy Thoughts' in free-draining soil or cactus compost, in full sun. Water every three to four days in summer but allow to dry out completely in winter. One of the hardier cacti, it's possible to grow chamaelobivia outside if temperatures don’t fall below freezing too often.
