Clematis 'Walenburg' is a deciduous clematis with pinnate, dark green leaves and red-purple flowers with a creamy white centre.

A viticella hybrid, Clematis 'Walenburg' is easy to grow and resistant to diseases such as clematis wilt. It's well suited to growing up a trestles against a sunny wall or fence, and may also be grown in a container and grown as a trailing plant, or even as ground cover. Alternatively, let 'Walenburg' scramble though a rose or small tree.

Clematis 'Walenburg' falls into Pruning Group Three. Simply cut stems back to the lowest pair of buds in February or March.
