Lacecaps and mopheads are the most commonly grown hydrangeas in our gardens. Mopheads have full, round heads of large petals, and lacecaps have flattish flower heads of large outer petals and tiny flowers in the centre.

Also known as Hydrangea 'Mariesii Grandiflora', this shrub is small and deciduous, with blue or pink petals and glossy ovate leaves.

Hydrangea ‘White Wave' is perfect for growing at the back of a mixed herbaceous border. It makes an excellent cut flower.
