  • Botanical name: Iris danfordiae
  • Common name: Reticulata iris
  • Family: Iridaceae
  • Plant Type: Bulb, Perennial

Iris danfordiae is just one species in the Reticulata Group of irises, and a particularly memorable one for its bright sunny colouring. The vivid yellow blooms appear close to the ground very early in the year, as early as February in a mild year, making an eye-catching patch of golden yellow to brighten the short days.
