- Scented flowers
Jasminum are evergreen or deciduous shrubs that climb via twining stems. Their fragrant flowers are star-shaped.
Jasminum beesianum is a vigorous, semi-evergreen climber, with, unusually for a jasmine, red-pink flowers. It’s frost hardy, so can take light frosts, but may suffer in harsh winters.
For best results, grow Jasminum beesianum in full sun in moist, well-drained soil. Choose a sheltered spot for it to avoid the fragrance being carried away by winds. Remove old and overcrowded shoots after flowering.
