Juniperus squamata 'Blue Star' is an outstanding dwarf juniper, perfect for growing in the rock garden or container. It forms a slightly rounded shape, with tightly packed, prickly, needle-like foliage. The foliage is almost metallic steely blue, and in late spring is highlighted dramatically by the bright powder-blue coloured new growth at the tips of the shoots.

The Royal Horticultural Society has given Juniperus squamata 'Blue Star' its prestigious Award of Garden Merit (AGM).
